Son of Raymond R. Phillips, a pioneer pastor in the Assemblies of God denomination in the early 1920's to 1959.Employed by the Union Pacific Railroad in Kansas City from 1950-1967. Served as a switchman, tower yardmaster, and terminal trainmaster.Received B.A. in Bible from Central Bible College in 1970. Licensed of the Assemblies of God in 1969. Ordained in 1971.Served as associate pastor at the Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Springfield, Mo., and pastor of Westside Assembly, in Sedalia, Mo., and pastor of Republic Assembly, also in Missouri.Founded Abundant Life Ministries in Springfield, Mo., in 1983.
